Mentoring Workshop – Standing in the Gap for Young People

We are calling Christian men and women, young and old, to step forward as group mentors in youth spaces across Plymouth. Many teenage boys are losing their way in today’s society, facing negative influences and a lack of strong role models. We believe the church can respond by offering hope, stability, and positive guidance to an increasingly fatherless generation.
This one-day workshop will equip you to make a lasting difference. Together we will look at motivations, skills, and qualities for mentoring; safe working practices; and an introduction to trauma and adverse childhood experiences. (All mentors will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.)
