Renowned speaker and theologian Andrew Whitman will be speaking at the Father’s House events on the 8th and 9th February at The King’s Tavistock and Plymouth Christian Centre respectively..
Andrew worked for several years with Agape UK discipling University Students before becoming a church pastor in East Anglia and then in the Bournemouth/Christchurch area. He has a Master of Ministry degree from Spurgeon’s College, and taught preaching skills, doctrine and Biblical hermeneutics at Moorlands College from 2001-2019.
Andrew will be sharing on the subject of revival and more specifically the Jesus People Movement of the 1960s and 70s as one of the widest reaching revival movements in the western world.
This is the subject of his recent book ‘When Jesus Met Hippies’ and indeed the catalyst for his own coming to faith when he was a young man.
Andrew will be looking at what this historical move of God means for us now, what we can learn from it and what he believes God is doing now.
